Prawns Tikka

Ingredients:

100 gms Prawns, cleaned and deveined
2 Tsp Mustard Oil
Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
3-4 Green Chillies
1 Capsicum, diced
1 Onion, diced
1/4 Tsp Carrom Seeds
Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
Small bit of coal
1 Tsp Ghee
Wooden Skewers

For Marination:
2 Tbsp Curd
1/2 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 Tsp Coriander Powder
1/8 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
1/2 Tbsp Ginger & Garlic Paste
2 Tsp Mustard Oil
Pinch of Salt

Method:

In a bowl, combine all the marination ingredients together into a thick paste

Mix the prawns, onions and capsicum into the marinade well

Heat the coal on the gas and once hot, place it in a small bowl in the center of the marinade. Pour the ghee over and cover the marinade. Keep it in a cool place for 30 minutes

After 30 minutes, remove the coal, add the carrom seeds and lemon juice to the marinade and mix it well

Skewer the prawns, onions and capsicum as in the image

In a grill pan, heat the oil on medium to high heat and then place the skewers in the pan for about 1.5 to 2 minutes on each side or until scorch marks start to form on the prawns

Take them out onto a plate. Garnish with sliced lemons and chillies

You’re all set to serve!
