Prawn Lollipops (Prawlipops)


500gms Prawn, cut into small pieces (not minced)
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp ground Peppercorns
2 Tsp Light Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Ginger Garlic, Green Chilli and Onion Paste
1 Egg, beaten
2 Tbsp Corn Flour
1/4 cup, Panko Breadcrumbs
Oil For Deep Frying

For the Spicy Mayonnaise:
3 Tbsp Mayonnaise
2 Tsp Chili Sauce
1 Tsp Sweet Chilli Sauce


Mix all the ingredients for the Mayonnaise together and chill it in the fridge

In the meanwhile, add the onion-garlic paste to the chopped prawns. Add all the ingredients to except the breadcrumbs and mix everything together

Place the breadcrumbs in a plate

Take a small amount of the prawn mixture in your hand and roll it into a ball

Coat each ball with breadcrumbs, and make the balls taut

Refrigerate them for about 20 minutes to hold the shape

Heat oil in a wok on medium and once the oil is hot, deep fry the balls until they are golden in color

Take them out onto a plate and pierce them with the Wooden Skewers

Serve the Prawlipops hot with the spicy Mayo!
