Andhra Style Chilli Chicken
Ingredients:
For Marinating Chicken:
750 gm Chicken cut into curry cuts
Salt to taste
3 large Onions, sliced
4-5 Green Chillies, sliced into large pieces
1 Tbsp Oil
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
2 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
For the Paste:
1 cup Coriander Leaves
3-4 Green Chillies, halved
Salt to taste
1 Tbsp Oil
Other Ingredients:
Juice of one Lemon
Coriander Leaves, as required
Method:
In a bowl marinate the chicken with salt, the onions, green chillies, oil, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, and mix everything well and keep aside for half an hour
Grind the coriander, green chillies, salt, amd oil into a fine paste and keep aside
Heat a vessel on low to medium and add the marinated chicken. Cover and cook on medium heat for 20-25 minutes
For the first 10 minutes, open the lid and mix the chicken once every 5 minutes and leave it covered for the rest of the 20-25 minutes
Now stir properly and then add the chilli paste and continue cooking for 5 minutes until fully cooked
Once cooked, top it with lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves
Serve it hot with rice!
