Bazella w’Rizz (Green Pea Stew)✨

I don’t make this dish often because my kids don’t like it..but when I do they eat it after a little negotiation. This classic Lebanese dish is made of peas, beef, onions, carrots and garlic in a tomato sauce served over vermicelli rice. The combination of vegetables and tender beef and rice makes this a super healthy meal for the whole family.
•1 pound beef cut into inch cubes
•1 large onion (chopped)
•1 tomato peeled & finely chopped
•3 cloves garlic minced
•1 tsp 7spice
•1 tsp black pepper
•1/2 tsp cinnamon
•2 tbsp olive oil
•3 tbsp tomato paste
•4 cups frozen or fresh peas
•5 cups water
•2-3 carrot sticks chopped
•Salt&pepper to taste

✨Add oil & onions in a pot and sauté until golden
✨Add meat and spices and cook until meat browns
✨Add garlic & tomatoes. Mix and cook for a few minutes. Add peas, carrots & water and bring to a boil. Add tomato paste & let simmer on med/low heat for 20 minutes.
