Grilled Kafta ( Lebanese Kebab)✨
Summer time grilling isn’t complete without Kafta Kebabs! It’s so simple and easy to make and the flavours of the ground beef & lamb, onions, fresh parsley and spices are amazing together😍
(They can also be made with only ground beef)
Recipe:
•1 lb lean ground beef
•1/2 lb ground lamb
•1 onion, thinly diced or grated
•1 bunch parsley, washed dried & chopped
•1 tbsp 7 spice
•1 1/2 tsp salt
•1/2 tsp black pepper
•1/2 tsp cumin
•1/2 tsp ground coriander
Method:
▫️In a large bowl, place meat & spices. Next add in the parsley & onions and mix well using your hands. Shape them into fingers or you can even place them on skewers. Let the Kafta sit in the fridge until you are ready to grill them.
▫️Place the Kafta on a pre-heated grill (lightly oil) and cook for 8-10 minutes until browned (turning a couple times to get even browning).
▫️Serve with spiced pita, hummus, tabouli & I had leftover vegetable rice. Don’t forget the pickled cucumbers! Enjoy!
*For the spiced pita I use 2 tbsp tomato paste, 1/2 tsp spicy tomato paste & drizzle of oil. Mix all together and spread on pita bread adding as much of the paste as you like. Cut the pita using a pizza cutter and bake for a few minutes at 350°F (Delicious dipped in hummus!)
