Recipe (yields 2-Three servings)
🌱Substances:
14oz [397g] agency tofu, pressed
1 massive shallot, chopped (about Three tablespoons)
four cloves garlic, finely chopped (about 2 tablespoons)
2 Thai chilies, chopped
1 cup packed Thai Basil leaves
oil for cooking, salt to style
🌱Sauce:
half of teaspoon darkish soy sauce (thick), 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1/Three cup vegan ‘fish’ sauce, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon cornstarch,
1/Three cup water
Combine the sauce elements in a mixing bowl till well-combined and put aside.
In a heated non-stick pan, add the tofu mash tofu into crumbles. Prepare dinner the tofu crumbles till barely dry. Then, add about 1 tablespoon of oil and proceed to prepare dinner till tofu turns golden brown. (see the video on my weblog)
Push tofu apart, and add a bit extra oil and sauté shallots till translucent. Proceed to sauté garlic and chili for one more 30 – 45 seconds. Then, deliver all of the combination collectively and provides it a fast stir. Add within the sauce and sugar and prepare dinner down a bit.
Lastly, add the Thai basil and toss the whole lot till all included.
Flip off the warmth and serve heat.
