✅1. mild boil 1-8oz block tempeh for about Four minutes. drain and let cool. ✅2. combine marinade: 5 tbsp rice vinegar, 1/Three cup tamari or soy sauce, 1-1/2 tsp toasted sesame (or sesame) oil, 2 tsp maple syrup, 3/Four tsp chili paste or sriracha. ✅3. lower tempeh into skinny rectangles or triangles. place tempeh in flat dish and soak in marinade for 15 minutes. ✅4. in the meantime, put together sauce: 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger, 1 tsp toasted sesame or sesame oil, 2 tbsp rice vinegar, 1/Four cup soy sauce or tamari, 1 tbsp sriracha, 1 tsp maple syrup (or to style), 1/Four cup water, 1 tbsp cornstarch. ✅5. pan fry marinated sliced tempeh in a bit of impartial flavored oil in non-stick skillet till golden brown on either side, about Three minutes either side. take away tempeh from skillet. ✅6. add sauce to skillet and blend whereas heating till begins to thicken. return tempeh to skillet and toss in sauce to coat.
